I've returned home from being in Twyford for about 9 days, looking after Jamie's house whilst his mum was in the land of the leeks, AKA Wales, and didn't really do anything worth discussing with people that don't know me and Jamie as a couple that well. We did what we usually do, that being watching movies and eating crappy food. However, Jamie abandoned me twice during the week to go to work. The first time, I watched Girl Interrupted starring Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie as mental patients, absolutely fascinating, I loved it. Whilst watching the movie, I organised a collective of about 700 DVDs. I know what you're thinking, "How does one person manage to obtain 700 DVDs?" this, I cannot answer, FORTUNATELY I have yet to watch the majority of the DVDs, so I have a fun filled future ahead of me. On the subject of DVD collections, I have about 108 and 6 VHS. A lot of my DVD collection is made up of cheesy Rom-Coms and Disney Pixar movies. My VHS collection is far more spectacular, 3 of them are Star Wars, 1 is Bart Wars: The Simpson's Strike Back, another is Scary Movie and the other is The Nightmare Before Christmas, of course.
When it comes to DVD collections, I like to think everyone has a specific Actor or Director they like to collect. Like me, I have all Kevin Smith's DVDs apart from Jay and Silent Bob do Degrassi, and I'm working my way towards having Jennifer Garner and Timothy Olyphant's filmography. Subconsciously, I also happen to have half of Lindsey Lohan's movies, which was a shock to me. I will say right now, I think she is a very good Actress, however I have issues with her lifestyle choice, or how the media present her lifestyle choice. You start to wonder, with the way the media acts, putting people up on pedestals and then completely crushing them, whether celebrities are anything like the media portrays and if they are, if the media made them that way. I'm not going to go into this too far because I won't stop for ages, but I think Britney Spears is a perfect example of this. She was perfectly fine up until she married K-Fed, and then he spent most of her money, impregnated her and took her children away from her, claiming she's a bad mother. Honestly, with the way the media hound her when she has her children with her, could you expect her to act any better than that. I can't think of anytime when I've seen Britney Spears with her children and gone "Oh no, she shouldn't be allowed to look after them". Come on, just take a look at some of the parents in this country. But anyway, I'll stick to my word and I'll move on now.
Hmm, it would appear I don't really have much to talk about...I was watching Girls Of The Playboy Mansion earlier (I recorded it. Sky Plus...I love it!) They were making a fitness video. I was absolutely appalled when the people from the fitness video company first arrived. Originally they made it sound like the video would show how the girls keep at their current fitness levels, but then the producer said they'd be shown what they'd be doing and trained up for it, as well as being put on a diet. Fortunately, one of the girls, Bridget, felt the same way I did, she refused to go on the diet but agreed to do the regime the company had come up with. I'm not really one for exercising, let along watching exercise videos, but that didn't look fun.
Have you guys heard Madonna and Justin Timberlake's new song? Just to take a quick tangent. Can you really call a song 4 Minutes when it's just over 3 minutes long? I thought not..
Ok, I'll wrap up now, if you've read all my blogs so far (all 3, yes I know..) and are intent on reading all the rest, then thank you very much. If you're a new reader and don't actually enjoy them, thanks for trying.
Speak to you guys next week, hoooopefully.
(4 spelling mistakes and 3 grammar WOOO I'm getting better ^_^)
